1-point perspectives
February 23, 2024 - Perspective in art refers to the representation of three-dimensional objects or spaces in two dimensional artworks.
The young artists in Room B1 were introduced to a new art concept called "Perspective" last Friday. Perspective is the angle or direction in which we look at an object. So we went to Google Maps and stood at the middle of the Pacific Avenue and Miracle Mile intersection and looked South. We determined the Horizon Line, Vanishing Point, and the Converging Lines that made up our 1-Point Perspective art. We then tried our hands drawing our first perspective drawings and the results were great!!!
We will spend the next 4 art periods on perspective art.
