catapults

August 16, 2023 - We did a STEM project called “Catapult.” It is similar to a slingshot in which we use 10 popsicles sticks, rubber bands, and a spoon to build a catapult and then to launch an eraser using the catapult we built as far as we can. There were a lot of successful catapults, but the back and forth battle was between two teams: Oliva/Layla and Alessandra/Melanie. In the end Olivia and Layla pulled out the win in which their eraser traveled 14.5 feet!!! Their picture will soon be on the classroom Wall of Fame. We all had fun building catapults.
