WORM ANATOMY STUDY
December 18, 2023- As a part of our Ecology Unit which includes studying producers, consumers, and decomposers, we studied the worm habitat and learned why worms are so important to the soil's nutrients and aeration which are beneficial to plants. We also found out why earthworms like dirt and how their anatomy works to filter the food in the soil. We constructed a paper model of the worm and learned about the functions of 14 different worm parts. Finally, we dissected real worms and connected what we've learned to actual worm anatomy. It was a wonderful (and a little icky) learning experience for all students. 😅
