POLLOCK'S "MARBLE PAINTING"
September 2, 2022
Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) was a famous American artist best known for his abstract expressionist splatter paintings. He painted large canvases by putting them on the floor and throwing and dripping liquid paint using a variety of objects to manipulate the paint. Imitating Pollock's drip painting style, our class used marbles instead of a brush. We cut out round paper, put it into a box, and dropped paint-colored marbles on to the paper. The results were spectacular as the marbles rolled on our paper to create fantastic looking lines and patterns. We had a lot of fun creating art following Jackson Pollock's painting style. |
