SCIENCE TOOLS INVESTIGATION
September 27 - To begin our Science Curriculum, we learned about different tools Scientists use to gather data. We learned that there are 5 different methods to collect information: Take notes, take photos, measurements, use tables, and make drawings. We also learned about the scientific steps use before, during, and after investigations. Finally, we used different tools and models to help us to understand and explain the natural world.
For our Science Tools assignment, we have to go through 8 different stations and learn how to collect data using the tools available: Rulers, hand lens, a triple beam balance, microscopes, stopwatches, thermometers, graduated cylinders, and different types of beans for classifying. It was a good learning experience for all of us.
